Yesterday I celebrated the first anniversary of Truly Charmed! When I made that first post on November 22nd of last year, I never imagined all that would follow. My intent in starting this blog was to share stories (mine and those of other women) as a way to encourage women to heal so that they can move forward and live the fulfilling lives that we all deserve. I feel so fortunate to know that my blog posts have indeed touched so many women, and I am blessed because I have certainly been uplifted by those who have shared their stories with me. I look forward to so much more of this in years to come…unity…healing…claiming our charmed lives.

I started off by interviewing ladies who were gracious enough to let us into the trials and triumphs that they have experienced in life. I am sincerely thankful to these ladies and their transparency.
Charlene Frazier, and her story of healing from childhood wounds
Constance Johnson, and her story of transformation through faith and determination
Precious Middleton, who’s thriving despite it all
Diandra Polk, who told us how she balances her many hats
Tiffany W. Jefferson, a champion for those living with vitiligoI hosted my very first Truly Charmed event! Give Me Face Soiree

I launched Truly Charmed events with Give Me Face Soiree
Give Me Face Soiree was a girls’ day out, designed to get the ladies together for a good time. We gathered at Cali Joe’s (Sumter, SC) for a makeup tutorial, musical performance by Christi Joy English, raffles, and an all-around great time. I am in the process of planning two Truly Charmed events in 2016. So excited!

Over this past year I have learned so much about the ins and outs of building a brand on the web. Much of what I have learned has come from other bloggers, vloggers, and social media personalities. There are so many who I have become a fan of. Here are a few of my favorites:
AudreyCan.com-Audrey is super fashion savvy, and I just love the positive energy of her blog.
Love Thy Sistahs ,www.instagram.com/lovethysistahs –this is an uplifting Instagram page that I turn to daily for inspiration.
Black Women Do Work Out, www.blackwomendoworkout.com,for fit-spiration!
Emily LaGrange,emilylagrange.com-Emily offers a wealth of resources for bloggers as well as positive, uplifting messages
TheYBF.com, for my celebrity news and gossip fix
Truly Charmed is just getting started and I am looking forward to more growth, more relationships, and a continued focus on encouraging others to thrive and claim their Charmed Lives!
What have been some of your greatest moments over the past year? Share them with me in the comments section.
